CARDIFF INTERNATIONAL FOOD & DRINK FESTIVAL
FRIDAY JULY 10 2015 TO SUNDAY JULY 12 2015
In the summer months, Cardiff Bay is a lovely spot to sit back, relax and enjoy the soothing sounds of the sea. However, for one weekend in July, the soft swish of the waves won’t be the only thing you’ll hear – instead, the sound of 60,000 food fans chatting away while they try and buy top local grub will fill the bay, as the annual Cardiff International Food & Drink Festival arrives for a weekend of eating, drinking, live music and entertainment.
It’s no wonder this festival attracts so many visitors from Cardiff and beyond – there are so many ways to satisfy your inner foodie, from watching cooking demonstrations by top chefs, to browsing stalls selling fantastic local produce. At the fully stocked farmers’ market, you can treat yourself to some tasty food and pat yourself on the back for reducing food miles and shopping locally. Produce here is the freshest you can get short of plucking it from the fields yourself.
If you’re planning on visiting Cardiff Bay, this is the weekend to do it – the harbour will be alive with sights, smells, sounds and tastes from around the globe.
