Melton Mowbray Food Festival is one of the largest regional food festivals in the country, set in the heart of the traditional market town known as the UK’s Rural Capital of Food.
2014 is the 11th annual Melton Mowbray Food Festival and once again, visitors will enjoy a huge selection of edible delights from some of the country’s finest producers, many from the East Midlands.
Over 150 exhibitors will be showcasing their produce at the Festival and this year, visitors can sample not only the local, traditional Melton Mowbray Pork Pies and Stilton Cheese, but also a range of delicious foods such as stunning new alcoholic ice creams, artisan cheeses, gold-infused bubbly, steamed puddings, chocolate kebabs, gourmet British game, locally-brewed ales and many, many more.
With places to pause, eat and drink, the Festival is just the perfect day out for everyone from the serious foodie to the happy browser!

From the M1
At Junction 21a take the exit onto the A46 (Signposted Leicester, New’k). Continue for 8 miles and at the roundabout, take the first exit and stay on the A46 heading to Melton Mowbray for 0.8 miles. Take the A607 exit towards Melton Mowbray.
There is ample free parking onsite, with dedicated disabled parking. The Festival has full disabled access and disabled facilities. Guide dogs only will be permitted.

Melton Mowbray Railway Station is a short distance from the cattle market (walking directions).

A regular bus service operates between Leicester and Melton Mowbray.
Melton Mowbray is located within easy reach of a number of popular international and regional airports. East Midlands International Airport is only 30 minutes away by car.
International Airports at Birmingham and Stansted are around an hour’s drive, Luton an hour and a half and Heathrow and Manchester International Airports are both approximately two hours by road.
