Brought to you by the same team behind the popular Game & Country Show in August and the Christmas Fair in November, , Oakleigh Fairs, are delighted to announce that big hitter from the cooking world Jean-Christophe Novelli is booked to appear on the Saturday – Jean-Christophe is a 5 out of 5, AA Rosette and multi Michelin Star award winning chef who has also been dubbed “The Nation’s Favourite French Chef” and on Sunday from Jean-Christophe’s Cookery School we have Patti Sloley who will be cooking up a storm with specialities from Ghana There will also be hands-on Cookery Workshops to help hone your culinary skills with Masterchef Ondine Hartgroves as well as other chefs and champions of healthy eating, who will be on hand to share their expertise and knowledge All of this will make for a must-do weekend for the amateur enthusiast through to the most sophisticated gastronome as well as providing fun for all the family – even the children can have a go at bottle feeding lambs and goats as well as meeting the owls as well as enjoying all of the Knebworth attractions on site. And the show is also supporting and is supported by British Food Fortnight Organiser of the show, Emma Owen, Director of Oakleigh Fairs says: ‘We are delighted to be returning once again to the East of England Festival of Food at Knebworth this year – it is such a fantastic setting – with visitor numbers of around 7,500 it is arguably one of the largest Food Festivals in the region. From the thirty or so shows we run over the year, one thing that has become increasingly apparent is that people are fascinated by food; so many of us are concerned about food miles and traceability these days and more and more of us are turning to ‘Real Food’. We hope this event is a showcase for anything foodie and is your chance to meet-the-maker as well as learn some tips from the top and we are delighted to welcome Jean-Christophe to the show
