We’ll take over 100 top artisan producers, a big serving of stunning hot food, add a dash of real ale and wine bars, kids cookery lessons and lots of children’s activities, top chef demos, stir in splash of craft & gift stalls, a cake competition, BBQ demos and the popular Men V Food challenges. Add lashings of excellent live music and mix together to make a lovely foodie family day out.

We get asked lots of the same questions about our events. Here you will find the answers.

1) What time is the event on? When is my ticket valid? Can I pay on the door?

We are open 10am-5pm on all event days. Your ticket is valid for one day only, unless otherwise stated. You can pay on the door or purchase a ticket online beforeahand, both are priced the same, but you may avoid queues if you buy your tickets online before the event.

2) Do you accept credit/debit cards? Is there a cash machine on-site?

No, we dont accept credit or debit cards due to lack of signal, some stalls may be able to though. We have in the past tried to offer cash-back, but reception can be intermittent so we recommend you bring enough cash for the day (and a little bit extra in case you find something else that you want to buy!)

3) Can I bring my dog?

Yes. Dogs are allowed as long as they are on a lead. Dogs are not allowed into the food marquees or inside the buildings. This is for hygiene and safety reasons. NB: Please don’t leave your dog in your car on a hot day.

4) Can my carer go for free?

Yes. If you are registered disabled and bring proof (blue badge or similar) your carer will go for free.

5) Is there anything for children?

Yes. We have a kids corner at all our events. Circus workshop and craft time are free, some charges apply for things like kids cookery and face painting. There are some fairground rides and lots of kiddy fun. We also offer Children’s cookery classes at all our events. These can be pre-booked. To find out more here.

6) Are you wheelchair / pram friendly?

We welcome wheelchair users / families with prams and we do all we can to ensure comfort and safety for wheelchair/pram users. Each event is set on a field, often near a house/hall. We have a disabled toilet on the event site and wheelchairs and prams can navigate around the site (assuming no major adverse weather conditions). The venue will often offer further facilities, please refer to their own website for details.

7) Do you cater for vegetarians and other dietary requirements?

We try to offer a variety off foods at each event covering vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. Have a look on the whats on guide on the day for details of which caterers provide vegetarian options.

8) Can I bring my own food?

No, not really -We have some fantastic food and drink available so please leave your picnics at home & give our exhibitors a whirl. They are cooking some great dishes and lots are doing taster trail dishes at £3 in 2016, so it won’t break the bank.
If you really want to bring an egg butty from home then it’s fine.

9) Can I bring alcohol?

No, due to licensing this is strictly upheld. There are several bars serving at each event. If a guest is found to be bringing in alcohol they will be escorted off the premises and no refund will be given.

10) Where do I park?

Car parks may be a short walk from the site, most are on grass. At all our events we offer free car parking. Disabled parking is as close as we can get you to entrance gates, or with a drop off option.

11) How do I find accommodation nearby?

13) What are the bar prices like?

Reasonable, £3.50-£4.80 for lager or beer, wine and champage at usual bar/pub prices. There will also be some show offers and discounts.

14) Do you sell a programme?

Yes, we’ll its more of a programme/recipe booklet. Each group coming in will also be given a ‘what’s on guide’ leaflet free. This will show times of each event and details of all the activities. You can purchase our 2016 Festival Programme & Recipe Book, chocked full of recipes, festival features and interviews, this is £3 and is available to buy at the entrance or information point.
