If you love food then make a date with the Southport Food and Drink Festival – a ‘foodies’ paradise with a little something for everyone to enjoy which usually takes place over the first weekend in June.
Southport will be playing host to a three day food and drink extravaganza with lots of fantastic activities for all the family.
Held in stunning Victoria Park, this festival promises to be a fun-filled, lively weekend for all, and, what’s more, it’s free entry! So if you just want to stop by to pick up some local produce, or stick around all weekend, it won’t break your piggy bank. Won’t even tickle it.
You’ll be able to browse, try and buy an assortment of food and drink at the producer’s market, then get some inspiration for what to do for tea by enjoying the sights and sounds of the chef demonstration marquee. If you fancy a weekend off cooking, go ahead and pick up a treat at the street food part of the festival.
As Helen Lovejoy once famously screamed, ‘won’t somebody please think of the children?’ And, the Southport festival organisers have, as there’s a festival area entirely for them. They don’t do things by halves around here, you see.
